2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Matrip service, including trip planning, spot discovery, and collaboration features.

3. Third-Party Services

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase Firestore with security rules that restrict access to authorized users only. Trip data is also cached locally on your device using SQLite for offline access. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. When you delete your account:
- All your trips, saved spots, and itineraries are permanently deleted.
- Your profile and friend connections are removed.
- Your Firebase Authentication account is deleted.
- This action is irreversible.
6. Cookies and Tracking
The Matrip app does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites. The Matrip website (matrip.net) does not use cookies or analytics scripts.
